John Head (2006) describes the brutal business of the boxers using a lot of similes and metaphors in his book to illustrate the brutality of the game. He illustrated that Ali was a confident boxer who could fight with anyone without any fear. Ali sometime did not follow the rules set for the game boxing. John cited a number of examples that shows that Ali did not follow the rules in most cases in his game.
Both Ali and Garcia are the best examples that were used to show that the boxing is an extremely harsh game. Although, the fighters did not follow the rules of fighting most of the time, they are often remembered, as they are the best fighters in the history of boxing. John illustrated one incident when Ali stroked his opponent incredibly fast bringing him down.
Head further explained the damages caused to a boxer during the match. In the sixth paragraph, Head compared the football players to the boxing players. He indicated that football players enjoyed the game, and it is slower than the boxing game. Boxing is an exceptionally vigorous game and the players do not enjoy the game like the football players. He explained that football is not an enjoyable game as it is a legalized barbarity. Head explained that boxing game is an act of brutality that audience pays to see the person injured by another one (Head, 2006).
