True Detective (2014-)

Crime drama television series. The TV show is made as an anthology - seasons don't share same storyline, cast and characters. Season 1 displays the story of two detectives from homicide department of Louisiana State Police, Rustin "Rust" Cohle and Martin "Marty" Hart. They are to revisit the case they've been working on 17 years ago. Seems like they never managed to leave it behind. And old wounds are being uncovered.

Season 2 takes us to California, where officers of three cooperating police departments investigate the weird death of city corrupt politician. Something that first started like a murder turns into a web of machinations and deceit.

Sherlock (2010-)

Modernized version of good old Sherlock Holmes - a famous and loved character created by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle.
