This means that for one to be healthy, all body parts ought to be functioning efficiently and one should feel well in body and mind. Physical health denotes a condition of wellbeing in which a person is mechanically fit to carry out both social and economic activities without any problem. Physical health encompasses both external and internal body organs wellbeing, where all these organs functions properly.
Mental health is refers to emotional wellbeing or lack of mental disorder. According to W.H.O, mental health is a condition of wellbeing where an individual is able to realize personal abilities, cope with stresses of life, work productively and make a positive contribution to the society. Social health refers to both the health of an individual and the society in general. To the individuals social health denotes a person’s wellbeing in regard to how he or she relates to other people, how people regard him as while as how an individual relates with social institutions. Holistic health refers to overall state of wellbeing of an individual that encompasses emotional, mental, physical and spiritual wellbeing. Holistic health covers the entire being of a person which extends to person`s environment, resources and relationships.
In comparison, physical health is crucial for proper function of all the body parts both internal and external, thus physical health to large extent determine a persons entire health status, unlike mental health, though it is also important it is mostly determined by individuals physical health status. Further social health encompasses both physical and mental health. Individuals who have good social health to great extent have good physical and mental health, thus social health plays a crucial role to the general wellbeing of an individual. In addition social health is more useful since other health concepts hinges on it, though they are also equally important.
