For my case I would choose to evaluate a serial killer and preferable specify him or her by name. The reason behind this is that most serial killers normally-either from pressure by media, police, CID e.t.c or on their own volition gives reason for the unbecoming behavior. No matter how dubious it may be, the first person information given by these serial killers is always useful.

In regard to serial killers I will use different information materials that are available in both print and digital form. Having formulated the problem already, I would identify the most useful information materials e.g. Newspaper articles, Medical and asylum reports e.t.c know more about personal life of the culprit, prison records e.t.c. The methods are Analysis of these information resources, Interviews with family, friends and victim of serial killer, Questionnaires for fellow inmates, Case studies, and cyclic approach e.t.c.

Road to being a serial killer.
I would want to know how the serial killer was introduced to the behavior, occults and cults that induces or subscribes to the notion of serial killing. I would want to know the motivation behind it. How he/she has transformed from amateurship to a full blown serial killer (process). I would also want to know the process of serial killing itself. In regard to outcomes I would want to know the satisfaction behind serial killing. Whether the serial killer fills any guilty thereafter and what makes a full blown serial killer.

Logistical, ethical and political challenges.
The major logistical challenges would be how to conduct the interview, criteria, information to use (with information explosion problem) and other logistics involved in research. The ethical challenges would include, whether it’s actually right to investigate someone’s character (past personal life), regardless of his/her crime, society/community acceptance of the research, Professional ethics as a researcher e.t.c The political challenges would entail the government stance on the issue, its goodwill in giving information and regulations governing government institutions such as police records, prison files, hospital registries(read medical reports) and also asylum file.
